Medieval Signature Suite
A 70 square metre suite located in one of the oldest parts of the château – The Old Hall where the Seigneur des Clairbaudières would have lived.
It features include a 17th century four poster bed, floor to ceiling windows overlooking the gardens, ancient tomette flooring, painted oak beam ceiling and 16th / 17th century furniture. There is a dressing / relaxing room and a large bathroom with double shower and roll top bath.
17th Century Apartment
A two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment with kitchen, dining area and living room set on the ground floor and opening to the front gardens.
This apartment lies within what we believe to have been the Old Keep (a fortified last refuge). The style is from the reigns of Louis XIII / Louis XIV and character features include stone walls, oak beams, wood panelling and ancient tomette floor tiles. The period antique furniture is from the 17th century – you will be able to eat on a 400-year-old table whilst sitting on 400-year-old seating.
18th Century Apartment
A refined two-bedroom apartment inspired by the 1700s and the reigns of Louis XV and Louis XVI. An interesting period coming to a close during the time of the French revolution.
The apartment features high ceilings, crystal chandeliers, decorated pastel coloured walls and lots of gold leaf. Beautiful mahogany and marble antique furniture is throughout this stylish apartment. The large windows have beautiful views across the château gardens. An amazing feature of this apartment is an original doorway from the 13th century set in the middle of a wall and covered up for centuries.
Large B&B Suite
A spacious bedroom with large ensuite bathroom featuring a walk-in shower and roll top bath.
The bedroom features a high ceiling, oak beams, stone walls and a four-poster bed. An interesting feature in the bathroom is the remnants of a 16th century stone floor that we discovered under the 19th century tomette floor. This suite opens directly to the courtyard and front garden.
